we ate here a few weeks ago and had a very pleasant meal, so we decided to return tonight. we used to book a table that was not ready when we arrived and ordered our food in the bar. we were not... warned that there was a slight delay, but after a 45-minute wait for food (that was the curry night offer), we were told that they were really busy and supported with food orders. If we had been warned, if we had ordered ourselves, we would have handled our expectations. when the meal arrived, one of the meal times had been wrong we were chips with one of the curry instead of rice, but the waitress did not apologize, but went out and came back about 10 minutes later with some freshly cooked chips,...
Visited with some friends on a Friday evening. Sat down and ordered (food was very good with gluten free options available). Staff were very friendly and helpful too. Parking was good. Shame that a group of people with 5 kids came in with the children...swinging from light fittings above the table and licking the ketchup bottle lids showed up when they did, otherwise would’ve been a good meal. Not to mention the swearing and bad language coming from that corner of the restaurant!
I came with a friend on Thursday for a meal. Good pub food served by the chef and accommodated us ordering a late pudding. Good value for money and looking forward to taking my family to try the new menu soon. The service from the...bar staff Kelly was warm and friendly and very welcoming. Looking forward to returning soon.
My friends and I stumbled across the portobello whilst looking for somewhere to have lunch. We received a warm welcome and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Special thanks to Maddy who was friendly and very helpful. Would recommend a visit

we have arrived a quick bit after work. we were greeted and made by very polite bar staff to feel comfortable. the bar girls kelly, maddy and also kelsey were professional. the meal was cooked by chris steak was great cooked exactly right. we will be back
The pub is a great place to be… great food, and really pleasant staff who are really friendly and make you feel welcome kelly, Kelsey and madly in particular. Would highly recommend the hunters chicken off the menu… very nice. Keep up the good work

great birthday room. to choose many meal times on the new menu. excellent eating, cooked by kyrs good customer service. we all enjoyed eating and the atmosphere. highly recommended.

Had a lovely meal, the service by Kelly was brilliant, she was friendly, funny and polite. Will definitely be going there again.
