The owners name is Rory. If you meet him, he will remember you and greet you whenever he is around. So, even if you go there and don't know anyone, Rory will make you feel like you belong. The bartenders are gentlemen and friendly. I know Bruce, who is a regular bartender. Today, I met Gio, who I may have seen before but never talked to. Very nice guys. The crowd depends on the day or occasion. They host parties and events that pack a full house. They also host karaoke one or two days a week. And if the guy with the peg leg in the corner telling scary stories about NAM is bothering you, move your way to the dilapidated wooden patio out back. There's a wonderful view of a mobile trailer that somebody may be living in. There's also a wooden fence that leads to a dirt road alleyway. This place is a local dive bar. The only good part about it is the karaoke on Friday nights. Any other night of the week it's pretty much dead. Once a man there sniffed me. I thought that was pretty weird. And then you have a regulars that probably should have been cut off hours ago who are really loud and obnoxious. But this really is the only bar within 3 miles of my house so if I want a cocktail, I really have no other choices. Other con, there is no food here. It would really be nice if they had something to eat. Nothing fancy, sandwiches, pizza, burgers. I'd probably stay longer if there were some munchies.
Initially, I was unsure about coming to this restaurant because of a negative review claiming there was racist decor. This turned out to be completely false. It's conveniently located near my home, so I decided to give it a chance one evening after work. Erin, the server, was fantastic. She was friendly and welcoming, making me feel like a regular customer. The other patrons were also very friendly, and even the DJ was there just hanging out, which added to the cool vibe. My friend and I decided to stop at this restaurant on our way home from work, but we were extremely disappointed with the service. The bartender was rude and insulting, which was quite surprising considering the nature of their job. We ended up leaving without even getting the drink we originally came for! Needless to say, I will not be returning to this establishment in the future.
I just stopped there after work for the first time on 7/17/18 and what a regret! I was just stopping in for s drink and the bartender assumed that I was drunk or unintelligent and she said to another patron, The lights are on and nobody is home . Don 't mistake my good mood for stupidity honey. Lights are on and I am home . No sale equals no tip right?
It's a real dive bar and most nights it's not even open late. Friday is their big night because there is karaoke and there seems to be a group of regulars that attend. There is a meager patio in the back. If this place wasn't so close to my home I would probably never go.
