The Publican House

We decided on a spontaneous dinner at The Publican House last night, and we were thoroughly pleased! Our server, Katie, provided outstanding service – she was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. We tried the lamb special, which was incredibly delicious, and the buttermilk fried chicken was equally amazing. We also shared a dessert that was the perfect ending to our meal. The men in our party enjoyed the beer flights, and I had a refreshing cider on tap. The service was prompt, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I dined at The Publican last night and I have to say, the service and food were outstanding! Despite the restaurant being bustling with holiday parties, our server remained attentive and cheerful throughout our meal. I ordered the hummus, baba ganouj, and dahl accompanied by pita bread, as well as a salad with beets and microgreens. I’m looking forward to returning to try their wood-fired pizza!

My husband and I went here for our first date night since having our first baby and moving to Peterborough. We drove by thinking what a gorgeous building, so happy we went in! We had the best pizza and hamburger we have ever eaten! The service was fantastic and beer was amazing Highly recommend to anyone who loves good food and beer!

Hosted a birthday party for 35 people at the Publican on Sunday and it was amazing. Kate Brad and their staff were very accomodating working through the timing the menu. The food was fantastic, the drinks amazing and our server Jess was great. Thanks to the Publican House for a great day.

Had some great food and awesome craft beer on the patio this evening. The renovations to the old Peterborough arms felt warm and inviting and the restaurant operations are run by a chef who really cares about the food. Definitely will be returning

Fantastic meat pizza! They have an amazing selection, especially when it comes to drinks. I’m looking forward to returning to sample more dishes. The service was quick and friendly. I can’t wait for patio season to enjoy a pint of High Noon!

You people ruined two meals! My wife had lunch there yesterday and the portion sizes were so generous she turned down dinner and breakfast in bed.

Great atmosphere, breakfast pizza is way too good and their beer selection is extensive. A must visit for sure.
