It is hard to convey in a short narrative just how excellent this place is. From the moment of arrival the hosting is first rate in making you feel welcome. Then the varied menu and extensive wine list makes you anticipate a great lunch or dinner ahead. The food is cooked to order and tried and tested to be the best it can be and generous portions. To finish the dessert trolley reminds you of years past and yearn for them to be copied by others. There is such variety to the offering that I defy you not to find one of these homemade treats to your taste. All in all David the joint proprietor provides an excellent experience which I would not hesitate to recommend to others.

We were disappointed to learn that this restaurant has permanently closed. David and his team always provided excellent service, and his wife's cooking was consistently delicious. It is unfortunate that they will not be reopening, but we hope to participate in one of their future ventures. Goodbye Team Punch Bowl; we will miss you dearly.

The Old Punch Bowl is the place to go on weekdays and weekends, with a wide selection of gins that are a big hit. They serve excellent food at a fair price, making it worth the money. The staff behind the bar are always friendly and helpful. Additionally, they have a spacious garden where you can relax and enjoy a beer in the sun.

What a wonderful place to eat. The food is amazing, the service is fantastic. It’s a place to go for very special occasions as it is quite pricey, but it is so worth it. I can’t compliment David, his wife and the rest of the team enough. Spot on Pinch Bowl!

We had a wonderful experience at Sunday lunch. The food, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic. The location was beautiful and we will definitely be returning in the future.
