The atmosphere of the restaurant was really cool and gave off a vibe of the old country. The food was nice, but the portions were small. The burger was particularly tiny, more like a thick slider. However, the meat pie was delicious. I wasn't a fan of the scotch egg. Overall, it's a great place for small bites and beer while watching soccer games.
Stopped in for a quick drink before eating somewhere else...immediately felt comfortable in an honest English Country pub...no pool table, no jukebox blaring or beery louts. Greta atmosphere and a great selection of beers, wines and spirits. We liked it so much we went back after our meal...for a couple of nightcaps.
Snuck in here for a quick bite and was not disappointed in the least. Great server, and friendly host. Started with some apps, and they were so good and while watching what others were ordering, we know we will be back. Try the "toe rags" for sure. Great location with great prices.
I went largely to sample the cask ales and was not disappointed. The special 150 brew was deliciously malty. I even managed to pursuade some Americans to try it!We alsi dined there and the Pickerel was wonderful you could pay twice as much and not get a better dish Réservez une table maintenant
Great food, staff and service. Pretty extensive menu, good beer selection. Nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed the conversations with all the staff at the bar while eating and drinking. Good thing I don't live nearby- I would be there too frequently!
We stumbled across this place on the first night of our stay and it was great! Amazing food and a perfect Caesar cocktail. Awesome vibe and atmosphere out on the roof terrace and great service. Gluten free friendly
This restaurant is excellent, the meat pies are incredible! The service and atmosphere are top-notch. Prices are a little on the high side, but understandable for a downtown location.
We ate here Saturday night, we hadn't booked and they were happy to serve us. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had the pheasant Réservez une table maintenant
Chips are amazing. Beer and cider is great. On a cold winters night where would I want to be but here. and also on a warm summer evening
