Really enjoyed the food here! Very reasonably priced and good quality. This is our 3rd visit in a few weeks…slightly addicted! Only thing I’d say on this occasion was the fish was freshly cooked but needed draining for a few minutes…a bit greasy today but on other occasions it’s been crisp and delicious. Choice of spicy or mild curry sauce. I stuck to mild which is the usual I’d expect at a chippy, might try spicy next time!
went in today ordered haddock and small chips was charged for standard chips. the girl serving was very pleasant. got my meal now haddock 5 50 . the portions now are a lot smaller. and still frozen fish which is no were near as good as fresh. the fish was well overcooked with a massive amount of very hard batter this place is now overpriced going downhill fast. wont be going back.
Cone of chips for 1.40p is amazing it's not a cone it's like small tray.chips pretty decent the bad side is the pies are normally microwaved 99% hala so the pastry isn't the best no lard a Holland pue would batter it all over , the sausages arnt pork the turkey so that's a no no, the curry sauce is about 5 out 10, the best meal to get from the vic is fish and chips,
What more can I say. The best chippy. Great Fish Chips. Fish battered to order. Nice and fresh and crispy batter. Good portion sizes. My go to chippy. By far head shoulder above the standard. Because it is soo good, I probably eat more fish chips than I should. Naughty but nice: Réservez une table maintenant
Daughter is at University here and the bad thing is it's took almost 2 years before we came here Food was spot on and much cheaper than Warrington chip shops Nice staff as well, glad our girl works in Preston as well so i can come here regularly when we visit
Visited one evening had 2 small cod,1 large cod,1 large chips and mushy peas. Order taken quickly, reasonable wait for food. This tasted freshly cooked was not greasy and tasted excellent. Prices were reasonable too and portions of a good size.
Popped in on a chilly Friday afternoon needing warming up.. Very clean premises, lovely friendly staff. A huge portion of piping hot chips Gravy.. Heaven .. The fish looked gorgeous. Need to pay another visit.. Well done Queen Vic
Just been paid £22 for 3 steak puddings chips and gravy. Chips and 2 large sausages the chips and gravy and sausages where brilliant but the steak puddings wher the worst I've ever tasted Réservez une table maintenant
The gluten free fish chips were excellent the venue should advertise these better. The other fish chips were very good portion sizes are very large
