The Queens Head

Disappointing return to this excellent pub for a Sunday roast based on good previous experiences. Waited almost 75 minutes for a roast dinner on a Sunday and when it arrived the meal was extremely salty. Two choices of roast :beef or lamb and apparently it never changes. Tip for them, introduce pork or chicken as well and let the customers know when they arrive. there that there is going to be a long delay . When you’re hungry, it’s far too long. Also the lamb was shredded in some sort of some sort of piquant sauce swamping the flavour of the meat when we were expecting some nice slices of tender lamb. Brought my daughter and partner for the first time and although the staff dealt with the complaint courteously and discounted the bill we left feeling very underwhelmed.

I fancied a full English breakfast one Sunday morning in Farnham. This pub has always had a good reputation for food and the atmosphere is great. They keep their beer really well. Unhappily I should have taken note of the sign saying that they were looking to employ a new chef. I am not surprised! The fried eggs were like bullets, the sausages so overcooked and reheated as to be close to inedible and the baked beans had been microwaved to leave them completely dried out. I am sure this was just a one-off error and the pub remains great. I await the food returning to the normal high standards of this pub.

Friendly, welcoming and a lovely atmosphere. Food was amazing with large portions and great value for money. Lenton, our server, was excellent, checking everything was OK without being over bearing. He was polite, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Couldn't manage dessert so will be returning to sample those. Definitely reccomend and will be visiting again

Best pub for miles. The staff are great, so friendly and helpful. Food is outstanding and beers great. It’s a pub first, so good vibe, music and atmosphere with great food on offer if you want it. They’ve got the balance just right!

Best breakfast we’ve ever had!!!! Amazing food, good atmosphere an all round brilliant place to visit
