Had a lovely meal here today, very pleased with the quality of the food and variety of drinks that were available. We both had the smoked haddock special, which had excellent flavour and was very well cooked with large portions. We opted for chips, which are truly excellent skin on style. New to the area, first visit, will be back. Skittles with meal to follow. Really nice beef roast with loads of veg. Friendly, welcoming staff and lots of special evening events. Update been several times now. Still great Sunday lunch at very reasonable price. Also deliver roasts and fish and chips locally.
Traditional pub, serving great ale! Not local but popped in for pint with dog, made to feel very welcome. Even brought the dog a treat. Somewhere that makes you feel so welcome, serves Butty Bach, and I can take my dog, is definitely worth revisiting.

The restaurant serves delicious homemade food and is owned by a friendly landlord. I couldn't find any faults with the place, as it is nicely tucked away from the main road.
fab place, small, picturesque and very like a real pub should be ... excellent ciders and ales and a large Indian restaurant on the top floor. deffo like to go back

"Warm welcome. Sat by fire which was very cosy and comfortable. Subdued lighting and lovely staff made for a relaxing atmosphere. Excellent food fish chips and chicken pie served very hot. Couldn’t have been happier."
