The Rainbow Pub Carvery

My partner and I ordered appetizers and main courses. The appetizers were acceptable, but the main dishes were disappointing. I had the glass noodles with pork belly, but I couldn't eat it because it was overly greasy and salty with no real flavor. My partner chose fish and chips and found it greasy as well, with the fish smothered in a thick, hard batter. Overall, the food was unappealing, and unfortunately, the service was lackluster as well. In retrospect, being the only diners in the restaurant was a clear indication of the experience we had. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

We recently hosted my Mum 's 70th birthday party and had a private room for around 25 people The Rainbow. We had a fantastic evening and enjoyed a 3 course meal and drinks. Phil, Harvey and team were most accommodating and made us feel very taken care of. The children loved playing in the garden on the 'mountain ' swing and climbing frame and the family dog was also very welcome to join. We spent the morning at stanmer park in brighton and tried to get lunch in the posh cafe, but the service was awful so we ended up leaving. We were on route to a pub in lewes we've been to before when we spotted the rainbow so we thought we'd stop and see what food was available. A lovely lady ran the menu past us she was so kind and we decided to have lunch here. I'm glad we did as the food was lovely and great value. We also really enjoyed just sitting in the sun for a bit. A hidden gem of sussex .

We visited after trying two other pubs nearby, where we received a rather unfriendly reception. The atmosphere here was a refreshing change. The owner promptly asked her staff if a table was available for us and made sure we were well taken care of. Although we only stopped for drinks and didn’t eat, we will definitely be coming back for dinner. Réservez une table maintenant

We visited this restaurant for the midweek carvery and were not disappointed. The portions of meat were generous and all cooked to perfection. The dessert was also delightful and well-sized. The gentleman who served us, along with the entire staff, was extremely friendly.

We had a wonderful experience at the carvery today. The atmosphere was really pleasant, and the staff were very friendly. The roast beef was delicious, and there was a great selection of sides. We will definitely be returning! Réservez une table maintenant
