A warm welcome… 2 fish pies/ 1 burger/1 ribeye steak-all nicely presented … all excellent quality albeit my ribeye was a little tough but tasty. Wainwright beer very agreeable-well kept and presented. Cappuccinos good quality. The restaurant bar/pub winds down quite early 9.30/10pm so you can’t hang around too long, which is not unusual nowadays. All in all a nice experience and would recommend.
Lovely afternoon but both my grandchildren choose sausage and mash for their main meal. Both meals were in a dish and drowned in gravy. Both would have not had gravy with meals being in a dish is was impossible to cut their sausages up. The gravy spoilt both meals, yet my Sunday roast arrived with a gravy dish.
Fantastic Sunday lunch, well cooked and presented. The staff were professional and attentive, and finished off with a drink outside, sat with the views of the moors.

The food was spot on, the service was really great. The only reason I put less stars for ambiance is due to the terrible background music.
Finding a good pub/country walk combination is like finding the holy grail for me. It's much more difficult than you would expect.
