This property was formerly the Eye Opener. The Eye Opener closed and re-opened as the Red Eye Diner. My wife and I, our children and their significant others had breakfast at The Red Eye Diner this morning for a belated Mother's Day. This restaurant is small and very popular. As we were a group of six there were only two booths that we could have. My son had arrived at 10:40 a.m. and put our name down for a table for six. We were seated at 11:35 a.m. There were some couples who came after us but were seated before us only because of what table or booths were available. There are also some stools at the counter and people who did not want to wait for a table would sit there if there was an ope...

Friends took my wife and I here for breakfast on my birthday. My first impression was that we traveled back in time to the '50s, with the black-and-white floor tiles, the lunch counter and the red plastic booths. The place was hopping, and my understanding it always it on weekend mornings. I soon found out why. Food is delicious and there's lots of it. I ordered what I believe was called the Red Eye Combo - two eggs, toast, delicious real hash brown potatoes (not the frozen and deep-fried variety), a large piece of grilled Ukrainian ham sausage and two pancakes for the reasonable price of $11.50. My wife had a light breakfast with one egg, toast, one pancakes, hash browns and more. Our friend...

Was meeting a client in the area and searched Trip Advisor to find a good restaurant where we could meet in the middle and decided on this place. Is a bit hard to find as it looks like a residence and the sign is there, but still shows the old name (Eye Opener Diner). I drove past it and had to circle back and quickly google it to confirm it was the right place.Once inside it looks like a 70's-80's rural diner with a great small town atmosphere and amazing service.I had the mushroom swiss burger and told her to surprise my for the side. Server said you have to have the fries with gravy. This was quite likley the best burger I have ever had, definitely tastes homemade and the fries were cooke...

The Eye Opener Diner provides a truly authentic diner experience. Despite visiting on a busy Sunday morning, we were seated right away in a charming setting with red leather booths and a classic eat-at counter. The friendly server accommodated our low-carb menu request without any issues, ensuring our coffee refills were quick and plentiful. We both enjoyed the delicious Winnipegger omelet with kubassa, grilled onions, and cheddar, along with a side of bacon and hollandaise sauce. The food was so tasty that we were tempted to lick our plates clean! We will definitely be returning soon. Réservez une table maintenant

It is a small diner with delicious homemade food. The interior is bright and cheerful. The staff was very friendly and made you feel at home. We had the North End Special served with kielbasa, 2 potato pancakes, eggs and toast. The surprise was the homemade jam that came along with it. Going to have to come back and try their lunch since breakfast was very good.

Went her yesterday with a client.... Possibly the best breakfast I have ever had in Winnipeg. The potatoes were outstanding , the egggs cooked perfectly and the bacon was the best i have eaten in a while.I cant speak on lunch and dinner but if the food is half as good as their breakfast, the meals will be fantastic!

3.5/5 Hermanos was one of my first stops when I first moved to Winnipeg, as a hotel ad for this place advertised it as an "Argentinian restaurant",
