ed, deb’s and julie are here a few times. here there is a good selection of real ales and beer (the drop bar is delicious and refreshing) with 2 bar seats, with a restaurant part as well. it has a beautiful garden area with parking the menu special and take away is more expensive to eat, but are available while the restaurant menu changes after seasons, availability, products available etc. well worth a visit.
I eat here regularly and it never disappoints! Ed, Debbie and the team are great and nothing is too much trouble for them; the food is always spot-on and reasonably priced and there's a great range of local ales. The garden is beautiful it's...perfect for sunny evenings and makes social distancing a breeze!
amazing dinner gluten-free fish and chips after home made gf batter and tartaric acid sauce, gf apfelkuchen. beautiful pub with wood burners and so welcoming. really excited to have a pub in the opposite, which serves homemade, tasty and good portion size eating....Love the decor also x
Great christmas lunch cooked by landlord Ed with partner Debbie always made to feel welcome great service and thoroughly enjoyed the tastiest tender turkey we have had to date with all the trimmings great work guys a must stop for great food for locals or...visiting Whipsnade zoo. omg the eating was absolutely delicious, the bark meat roast was huge, homemade yorkies and last the heavy, could not mistake it the sausages and maic had great tasty sausages and the fajita meal looked beautiful to friendly staff, log fire., very cozy we will be back thank you.
This was a last minute decision to get a bite to eat on the way home and even though we just missed the cut of last food orders, the team were happy to accommodate and still let us order from the menu when we arrived....Pleasant and helpful staff and food was very good too.
excellent customer service. this pub is so cozy. always a beautiful environment and debbie ed are so inviting. this is the only pub we come to. fish chips are perfect and excellent value for money. must be the best guinness, just like inland.
