Haven’t been to this pub for a few years. It’s always been nice but the first time I’ve eaten there. Wow, what a lovely Sunday roast! So great that unlike other local pubs you can get a roast after 4pm (4.45 last orders) and it was lovely. Huge portion with tasty thick gravy, beautifully cooked chicken, crispy roasts and fresh veg. Tables are displayed beautifully with candles and fresh flowers. Friendly and attentive staff. Despite a busy afternoon all plates and glasses were all cleared away. Enjoyable afternoon to evening and will be back. Pub is welcoming, has a lovely cosy decor, and it’s nice to support a local village pub rather than some of the chains where you are valued as a number...
The roast potatoes were crispy, but lacked substance on the inside, leaving them almost hollow. The roast lamb appeared to be thinly sliced and possibly pre-cooked, rather than freshly carved. The addition of parsnips to the menu was appreciated, but the boiled cauliflower seemed outdated. While I appreciate a traditional roast, there is certainly room for improvement when it comes to the vegetable selection.
I understand the challenges that restaurants are facing, but as a consumer, I need to be mindful of where I spend my money. Unfortunately, this experience does not encourage me to return for another disappointing Sunday lunch.
Had a pub lunch here on the bank holiday and was very impressed. The customer service was great. The pub was dog friendly and our nervous dog managed to relax after a long walk. The staff were really friendly and attentive and went above and beyond. The owner came to check everything was okay with our meal and the lady behind the bar was very helpful with our order and more than happy to check with the chef if there were vegan options. Another positive was that the ladies toilets supplied sanitary towels which unfortunately most places don’t. Overall very good experience.
Came in today for lunch we was very late but ,But the lovely staff still done a beautiful lunch for the 3 of us .The food was really nicely presented and tasted great the staff was all so friendly and welcoming and nothing was to much ,my grandaughter loved the garden and the play area a real bonus lovely marquee as well as garden i look forward to returning a big thankyou to all staff and a extra thankyou to the chef for on xx

Came in here for the first time yesterday afternoon planning a very quick drink. Was so taken by the decor, the staff and the busy atmosphere kept me there for almost twiohours. Had to leave or else I would have gladly stayed there all evening. Too many of these places are being lost and it was heartening to see it so busy and vibrant on a Saturday afternoon. Can't wait to return.
Visited yesterday such lovely, friendly, helpful staff especially Fay(e) and two gals behind the bar!!! Thank you so much for all your help and a perfect place to stop by. We used it as a meeting point and had drinks booked ahead, reserved a table so simple and helpful Had deeeeelicious cocktails!!! Really a great start to the evening. Will be returning if we pass through!!
We went there for lunch and both decided to have a BLT on granary bread. When the sandwiches arrived, the bread was so thin that the spread made the sandwiches slippery and difficult to pick up and eat. The bacon was very fatty and not cooked well.
Went for Sunday lunch. Lovely food, landlord is extremely friendly and came over to make sure everything was ok with our food. Staff very attentive too. Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended

Such a lovely place ! Stunning flowers staff so friendly Julie and Abbie very helpful couldn’t do anymore for us Our meals were gorgeous fresh food home cooked def be back for another visit !
Very warm welcome and fabulous food! Portions were spot on for a hungry traveller, and the pub was so clean.
