we booked here for the first time on Sunday lunch. this beautiful old pub sits in a really fantastic village location. opposite the village green and next to an old church. there are some small grid window houses nested around the entire surface. we were greeted very warmly by the dame owners and sat before the fire. Unfortunately, soon afterwards a quite loud family arrived and sat next to us. She noticed our inconvenience and she invited us to move tables and we were shown in the beautiful dining room on the top floor where we enjoyed the most delicious Sunday roast I remember. friendly service. warm atmosphere and excellent value for money. I am looking forward to returning with my family and friends.

wonderful eating, great atmospheric and friendly service. dinners were amazing, but winter fruits eton mess was to die. only sad that we couldn't see each other before we went home. in any case recommend and hope to return.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff and above all great food! A lovely old pub on a village green with free wifi, very popular at times so book ahead if you want a table.

Booked a party of 19 to celebrate an eightieth birthday party on Sunday, food was lovely, service excellent in a very relaxed atmosphere!! Highly recommend

It's a wonderful, warm welcoming atmosphere. brilliant staff and amazing food, service was excellent and a beautiful interior, full of history.
