Came her for a quick afternoon snack on a Saturday, so as you can imagine it was very busy. However, the front of house staff kindly gave us a table for 1.5 hours which was more than enough time. We shared the flatbread and had some halloumi fries with some fantastic drinks. The food was absolutely gorgeous; so fresh and incredibly tasty. We were given a nice table close to the kitchen so we could see everything that was going on and there was a great upbeat and positive vibe around us. The decor and style is very modern and chic yet cosy. It’s not too over the top to go for a casual afternoon lunch, yet you can see how it would make for a wonderful, stylish night time bar. Lively restaurant with stylish decor and good atmosphere, albeit the tables are a little too tightly packed together. Staff were very attentive, but at times too much so. Good range of starters and mains which we all found to be excellent. The puddings menu however is quite limited, and the chocolate orange jaffa cake we tried was very dry and quite unpleasant. I'd happily return, but would stick to just a starter and main course next time.
The Refinery in St Andrews Square in New Town in Edinburgh is quite a plush , glamorous bar cum restaurant spread over 2 floors with large elegant windows and a chic mostly younger clientèle. It has different styled tables but mostly Germanic bier Keller types, with low lighting and a modern bar , with Cocktails being their main order. The service was good as you would expect in such a place.

I discovered this unique restaurant early in the morning and was immediately impressed by its charming atmosphere. Despite the lack of customers, the place had a lot of character. I was warmly greeted as soon as I entered and the service was friendly and efficient. Although I only had a coffee, the menu looked delicious and I am eager to return and try some of their dishes.
I visited this restaurant during the pandemic and found that it was well-organized and set up. It was a bit surprising that they weren't checking temperatures at the entrance. The food was delicious and reasonably priced compared to other restaurants in the same category. I will definitely come back. The decor was also very nice, perfect for taking pictures.
Great choice of menu, good options for all diets and desires. Cracking beefburger, great salads, good fish tacos, ate here twice on our 5 day stint in Edinburgh. Pilsner Urquell on draught a real treat, plus great local Scottish ales, a particularly good Barneys Birthday Pale Ale. Good service, light airy comfortable bar/restaurant.
We visited with our entire family and had a great experience. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was professional. The food was delicious and there were menu options to suit everyone's tastes. We highly recommend checking out this restaurant.

We got the eggs benedict buttermilk chicken waffles. Delicious food and cosy place. Food came quick too and the service by the friendly staff was tip top.
Had a good and juicy cheeseburger together with red wine. Nice interior and warm atmosphere. Service was excellent.
