The Refuge (san Carlos)

The vegan options have really declined, and unfortunately, the Impossible Burger is no longer available. This was our team's favorite spot to meet up, but now we find ourselves unable to gather here due to the limited options. What a disappointment. On a positive note, they do offer an excellent selection of beers. The food is good, the outdoor seating is enjoyable, and the staff is friendly. It's still a nice place for work lunches and get-togethers. Did I mention the fantastic beer selection?

Amazing food! Their pastrami is the best I've tasted this side of New York. And their cheesesteaks are awesome as well. My wife loves their beet burrata salad. The fries are always perfect, hot, slightly crisp, and lightly salted. The service is excellent. The food shows up quickly and the entire staff, always cheerful, seems ready to check on you regularly. We love this place.

The food is quite good, although the kids' burger was more of a slider, so we had to order an additional one for my son. The staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would definitely recommend trying it out, and if we’re in the area again, we will definitely stop by.

Amazing pastrami and a good restaurant, BUT so EXPENSIVE. My husband and I split a Reuben, and he had a beer. The total with tip was $53! We liked it, but not that much. We expect things to be overpriced in this area. However, this seems excessive. Réservez une table maintenant

Pastrami was juicy and tender, delicious. Beet salad was great. Short rib nachos tasted good but got cold quickly. It got late, so we had to take our bread pudding home almost as good as I remembered it from before.

I absolutely adore this restaurant for its pastrami! The highlight is definitely the poutine topped with pastrami. Be sure to enjoy your meal with a refreshing beer and a smile!

Blue cheese burger was good. But the pastrami was too fatty and the fries were underwhelming. Service was slow despite the fact we were one of only two customers at the time.
