Been here several times prior and was ok however there is a new manager on who has a really turned the place around there is a new outdoor seating area and indoor air con space too .... The coffee was always good however it seems to be better now. Had a Piccolo and short black and both were on point. I also 1had Hot Dog with the lot and was a good size and price for the quality. Will definitely be back when I am in South Bank TAFE next. Would have to be one of the best coffees in the South Bank area. Cool funky little space too now
The Meatball Family ducked into The Dugout to escape the rain and to enjoy some tasty baked goods and Cold Brew coffee.
The Pain Au Chocolate was light, flaky and delicious (4). The Almond Croissant was a little dense, but good (3.5).
On this day Lady Meatball went with the Marilyn Monroe, an Artisan Cold Brew coffee with milk and sugar, which she enjoyed over ice. Behind Blackstar, Artisan is one of Brisbane's best Cold Brews (4).
This was not our first visit to The Dugout and it won't be our last.

We were in Brisbane visiting a friend and she took us to this cute little cafe. We ordered the Amazonia Acai Bowl, the Pea and Mint Fritters and Orange and Poppyseed hotcakes. All dishes tasted great and were healthy and were presented nicely!

Terribly small serving size on the nachos for the $11.50 i paid . Less than half the size that you can get from 2 other places with 100 metres . And they were tasteless at that . If your going to do mexican food within 100 metres of 2 large mexican restraunts you need to do it well and this place certianly fails spectacularly at that. I Wont be back thats for sure !

Dugout is pretty good for an on-campus coffee shop. It was a but inconsistent when it opened but is really good now!!
I wouldn't bother with the cabinet food, I've seen a lot of it with mould growing on it but they seem to have a more extensive fresh food menu that I haven't really bothered to check out.
I decided I would have a healthy meal of the kale salad here, it came with one of my favorite additions of avocado too. The almond croissants looked divine, but I really needed that green kale for energy & cleansing ! Not overpriced either
Really groovy little cafe that serves great coffee. They can be quite busy in the mornings but they're still quite fast, considering all the TAFE students and workers in the area. Their "Killer Brownie" lives up to its name too ????
I wanted this to be better than it was. The coffee was watery and not helped by the staff being more interested in talking to each other than serving the customer.

Best coffee out. Cute cafe, friendly staff, and tasty cabinet food. Quite a busy place on peak hour but wait isn't too long. Wish they were open weekends!!
A usual brew stop when cycling around the riverloop. Great coffee and breakfast food. May have to drop in there one day when not clad in lycra.
