As our ferry to the IOM was cancelled 2 hours into our 4 journey to Heysham and we had our family dog with us, we needed a dog friendly place to stay close to the port really late at night. We were meant to stay at the hotel on our RETURN from the Isle of Man (that ferry was cancelled too) so I knew the owner’s number to see if there was availability. Chris answered straight away late at night, got the cleaners out late at night to prep rooms for us and put us up in fabulously renovated rooms. We cannot fault these rooms at all, they were perfect, so stylish and quiet too. room not cleaned. I was originally offered room 10 in 3rd floor, but the room was not cleaned by night before. room looked good when it was cleaned, but instead offered room 9 (also in 3rd floor,) after it was checked! the bedcloth had been uncannyly changed (not sure whether lakes and kisses sluts as crumbs, haare and proves for stained dirty towels on bathroom floor and used tee bag on cup and clear bath not cleaned. I asked for money back that was given. personal pleasant and tried to solve, but can not recommend and in any case will not be back!
You can't beat the price at this restaurant. The room is clean and well equipped. My only complaint is the window above the door, which lets in light from the landing and becomes even worse when the movement sensors turn on more light. This could be easily repaired if they wanted to.
