The Royal Duke - Réserver une table

I've been going to the Royal Duke for some time, always with family and friends. This review reflects my latest visit a few days ago. Six of us were out on 'wing night' last Monday. Ordered drinks arrived in a timely manner, and food orders were taken promptly. Four of us ordered wings; it's wing night after all...It went downhill from there. One person's wings arrived, followed at least 15 minutes later by 2 more. Those were barely warm and were returned. The replacements, almost 20 minutes later were marginally better. Two more meals followed, then our appetizer, and finally my wings arrived. They were the only order that was actually hot. One friend returned his cold meal, didn't want it replaced. Overall, it was a 2 hour ordeal I never wish to repeat. I will say that the pub was busy, and they were obviously struggling. However, the kitchen clearly fell apart.I feel bad for Michelle our waitress; the kitchen hung her out to dry... I hope Management fixes this. Maybe they read this and make changes...I'll be back because I like the place, their service and their food. Maybe this was an anomaly...

Saturday April 29,reservations for 4 people at 6Pm Royal Duke. Arrived early . Waitress fantastic, ordered drinks. 645Pm Ordered another round drinks, water ordered meal. 745 Still NO NO Sight of the meal.Waitress frazzled.people behind us, were there long before we were, at 75 They got meal cold. Left frustrated.We at 850 Called over the Manageress, Michelle, who smiling like nothing was wrong, apologized that there were a group of 10 came no reservations They got immediate service, food. People with reservations, NO SERVICE, no FOOD. It was like the kitchen ran out of food. No apologies. Michelle, manageress claims there was nothing they could do about it. THE poor waitress that served us our drinks was helpless. WE left.......*Pm had not eaten felt disgusted and very unhappy. Please do not go there expecting service.NONE but a smile and apology

This place is in a good location has a good menu and great food. For these reasons I keep going back to give it another chance, however everytime I do it seems as though the service gets worse. We always need to ask for cutlery, they never check to see how everything is tasting. The last time half our meals came out and we're eaten by the time the other half arrived. The servers never come back for drink orders which means we drinks less, meaning we spend less money which if this happens to a lot of people means the business is probably losing a lot. All in all, very disappointing.

Wow food was awesome. The service was beyond disappointing. Arrived at The Royal Duke for a meal. Sat ourselves at a table then waited and waited for our waitress. Ordered a drink and some appetizers to share. Waitress said she would bring some plates which didn't come until we were half done our appetizers. Our drinks were empty at that point but she never asked if we wanted another. Finished our meal and waited and waited for our bill. Wouldn't have minded waiting for the bill if I would have had a drink to sip on.

Great place to meet up with friends or family. Kids allowed. Great interior atmosphere. Very nice pub.
