My partner and I attempted to review the food at this restaurant, but our experience was soured by a very rude and abrupt female staff member we encountered when we called on a Sunday morning to inquire about a table. She informed us in a very matter-of-fact manner that they were not serving Sunday Roast, and then promptly hung up without another word. In a competitive industry like the restaurant business, customer service is key. If the staff at this pub are not willing to provide a pleasant experience for their customers, it may be time for them to consider a different profession. We will not be returning to this establishment.
I just want to say, the publican (Holly) is lovely, and many other helpers around the bar also provide a great day (and are also extremely nice). The food is simple, tasty and top tier, especially the cheese boards and cheesy chips (yes, we love cheese). And most of all, all of the great beers are served here. Need I say more?
It must have been an off night at this restaurant. Two items we wanted from their limited main menu were not available at 7:15pm on a Friday evening. The food was decent, but nothing stood out as exceptional. The service seemed unsure about which menu items were available. We won't be coming back.
Very nice little country pub, friendly staff very obliging, nothing to much trouble. Sunday lunch was very nice and good value for money only thing it could have been hotter as only just warm, but will definitely go back. Young polite young man served us Fraser.

What a fabulous little country place this is, it has been brought back to life, fabulous atmosphere, great food drinks, spacious garden. My local and I absolutely love it. On the occasion they have live music, food venders. Great place
I have never felt so unwelcome or unwanted at any establishment until I stopped by in the afternoon to see if they were serving lunch. Running a business like this is not a good way to survive after two years of economic chaos.
Great place for a few pints in the evening! Lovely atmosphere. Good beer!! This place is full of people again and it's awesome to see! The new landlady is amazing.
Been my local for many years and all my dogs have loved dragging me in there on lovely local walks. Great beers and now serving good food too. Don’t go past go in

Recently changed hands and seems to be making a comeback as a proper pub again, after the problems of the last few years. Very friendly service and surroundings.
It's amazing to see the positive change. Great atmosphere, staff and a lovely way to spend an evening.
