"Tried the Greek specials Stifado beef and Souvlaki both very nice, with good portion sizes. Be warned though, they do run out of the specials, 3 were sold out on the day we visited"

we've been visiting this Fab place for years. the menu has changed in the run of the years with the Greek influence. I love Greek eating, but we visit personally for seafood and this time it felt less of the beautiful seafood and more Greek decisions. what I can imagine through the non-tourist season is an absolute winner. this year was something different, still safe, so quiet, but a little strict. I felt. I understand why, especially at roudy customers. but I'm just a menu when there were no outside and felt I was undrawn. all that aside. as always, eating was just fab. whitebait to die. mustels so fresh and simply perfectly cooked, seabass only beautiful. good fair prices. children's menu the chicken puss were not baked or debrised so my daughter was not so impressed. nice chicken, but she would have been happier with billy basic nuggets! child! as well. we always visit each other and we will be back 100

One execution, one public hanging and a few naked ladies........... .........I though that might get your attention. I always take the family here on the first evening of our Easter winter break. It's a super pub with great décor, excellent food and good old fashioned service. Fish and chips for the kids off the junior menu. Fish pie and vegetables for my wife plus a superb rare steak with all the trimmings for me all washed down with some of the local beer. Great evening plus the colourful excitement of the Duke of Monmouth losing his head, 12 of the locals being strung up in public and ....well just look who is bathing naked in Lyme harbour. Don't believe me? Ask for a table in the back alcoves, sit back, eat, drink and enjoy a bit of old English entertainment!!

beautiful balance: local pub (pool table, lads with pints) some gals chit chatting while a cig outside and under cover! a triumph of youngs with a quiet drink outside. nice for visitors: a nice menu, friendly staff. we had both fish, chips and inherited. maybe the best fish 'n'chips I've ever had. coffee ok, but there's a costa in the city when they're open there's a pick-up window outside, handy. we had only coffee first. we asked for a wall heating, where they were unfortunately turned, we came back for a meal an hour or so later. a lot of space Friday evening end januar shortly after 19 o'clock.

Really enjoyed our meal here. The whole pub felt safe and welcoming despite covid, Staff very attentive, friendly and not overbearing. Food was perfect well presented and priced fairly. Was really impressed with my fish pie which was very fresh tasting. Asked for no dressing on salad and that was how it came. Very clean interior. Only downside was drinks were a bit pricey but we were only having one each so overall price was as expected including the meal. Recommended.
