The Rumblin Tum - Réservation de table

During our recent visit to The RT in 2019, I found it to be quite worn out. I specifically mentioned the outdated toilets and worn carpets needing renovation. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see the recent changes during my most recent visit. The fresh paint and new carpets have given the place a much-needed facelift, and the renovated toilets are a vast improvement. The food and drinks were still excellent, but this time the overall experience was much more enjoyable.

Always stopped here when going to/from Edinburgh but won't be any more. Used to get mugs of coffee, now it is small tea cups of coffee for twice the price. My haggis roll was one medium slice of haggis for £3.95. Gullane Golf Club later was £3.25 for two big slices of haggis. And that is a prestigious golf club. Staff were friendly though.

I decided to try this restaurant on a whim and I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered homemade chicken and spring onion soup, minestrone soup with fresh baguette, tuna sandwiches, and a bowl of freshly cooked fat chips - everything was delicious. The service was great and very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

We arrived early enough to order breakfast, but were asked if we had made a reservation. Without one, we were told there would be a 30 minute wait. We have never had to book a table before, especially on a Saturday morning, so we were not impressed. We ended up finding a good cafe across from the restaurant instead. The food and service was the best we had experienced in the full 3 day trip. The price is very reasonable for the excellent food I would highly recommend a visit here the homemade quiche is the best I’ve ever tasted. so much so I brought home a spare for today.

We visited here on Saturday 26th august for breakfast , two of us had full breakfasts and one had beans on toast with two sausages added as extra , it is the best breakfast we’ve had in any Moffat cafe/restaurant

Great Scottish breakfasts, served piping hot and tasty. Service was attentive and friendly you won’t go wrong here for a breakfast to set you Up for the day and with a great veggie selection too

We popped in here with our dog for a late lunch. The food was ok, nothing fancy but tasty and reasonably priced. Unlike some other reviewers, we found the staff friendly and efficient. Réservez une table maintenant

Sat at a table outside and went into order lunch. Was told a couldn't order food or a drink. A lady followed me in and order 2 lunches and drinks

Quick and friendly service, throughly enjoyed the club sandwich and lovely caramel latte. Great place to visit.
