The Salty Donut is worth the hype? 3.5/5 part yes. I decided to stop a week in the afternoon and tried her Strawberry Shortcake Donut. It looks visually yum a bite in it was definitely quite delicious. The texture is more cakey than dough only FYI and sweetness is just right. It is a buzzy spot with other dessert options also I would put this in the same buckets as Voodoo Donuts or Dough Donuts (NYC) regarding creativity and taste. This Wynwood site is small, does not have many options, so I wouldn't come specifically for it.

We drove to Miami and said we had to get into Salty Donut. We love donuts, but really don't like excessively sweet donuts. We are pleased that this was the perfect amount of sweet! Our non-vegan parents were also satisfied with their choice. The only complaint... There was only 1 vegan option. Omg, everything was so yummy. I wasn't expecting it to be this good but it was perfect. The sweetness was just on point and don't leave you the sugary after taste in your mouth. Maple bacon and passion fruit dark chocolate was my favorite, while the white chocolate tres leches was my friend's favorite. The pistachio cannoli was also amazing, wish there was more pistachio on them. Overall so so good!
