The Sandwiched Inn

We were only in Exeter to visit the ruins, when we happened upon the Sandwiched-Inn. Feeling peckish, we went in. We are so pleased we did. There are good sandwiches, and not-so-good sandwiches. The Sandwich-Inn do not make good sandwiches, they make excellent sandwiches. But what made the experience so special, was the service we received. We were looked after by a personable young man (I think his name was Patrick), who couldn’t do enough for us. Would I go again? It’s a no-brainer! Terry Tobias and June Komatch

I entered the restaurant with the intention of ordering a sandwich. However, I was disappointed to see the two employees behind the counter chatting with each other for a few minutes. One of the employees then went to the cold counter to put something away without acknowledging my presence. Disappointed by the lack of customer service, I decided to leave without placing an order.

Literally my favourite place! They offer a student discount so perfect for lunchtimes. As a vegan I recommend either a hummus, avocado and salad baguette or the pulled jackfruit baguette. Such lovely staff who we love having chats with :

Very clean, friendly staff and obviously family run. People popping in all the time we were there for a impromptu lunch. Simple food and home made, plus lovely desserts. Very impressed and definitely will be visiting again. Réservez une table maintenant

I only had coffee, but it was delicious. The staff was friendly and generous. The restaurant is a bit small inside, but they pleasantly surprised a regular customer with a freebie, showcasing their generosity.

Popped in as another place nearby didn't have what I wanted I'm so glad I did. The baguette was amazing, generous filling decently priced. Will definately be returning will have to try some cake next time!

I go here regularly for sandwiches, they are the best I especially love the hot ones. The cakes are also lovely and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place

Stumbled upon this cafe one morning and i had a cheese and tomato sandwich . The bread was lovely and the coffee was great too. Réservez une table maintenant
