First time visiting Scullery coffee house jn downtown Greenville, I have to say the approach they have is interesting. It is backwards in a way. You get to see menu choose your meal and drinks, pay and then get seated. So we chose the food and drinks, we paid then we got seated. What I find odd is we have to pay first or tip before we get served food. I know it's a different and unique approach for them but asking for tip in the beginning is a little weird for, what if I don't like the service? Hypothetically speaking, do I ask for my tip back and If I don't like the service? We visited this spot for the first time and were a little taken back by the process of looking at the menu/ordering/and paying AND tipping first before being seated. I understand this is how coffee shops usually work but with it being a restaurant style breakfast place it felt a bit strange to tip based on service we haven 't had yet. Following that when ordering hash browns I wasn 't expecting actual chopped up cubes of potato. But I wasn 't mad after I tried them they were good.
