Change your sign to open until 4:30pm stop serving at 4pm. Visited yesterday with my elderly Dad, who uses a zimmer. He was elated to have managed the 2 steps into the Tearooms via the front entrance (the rear entrance is cobbled and too steep for many people with mobility issues). He spotted the lush cakes on display and wanted a cup of tea and a slice of chocolate cake. I was assisting my Dad into the booth closest to the door when we were approached and told the coffee machine had been cleaned!? Scratching my head here.... It's 4pm you don't close until 4:30pm! ?! I feel quite blessed to have such a positive and cozy tee room on my doorstep. I visit regularly and love to take friends there for tea and cake or something more filling. recently I took a friend of mine to the breakfast on a Saturday morning. the eier benedikt, which we both were tasty and service is always excellent with so hardworking employees and a very welcome home feeling. I enjoy presenting people at this place because it has a quite unique atmosphere with an almost tardis as bigger on the inside than it looks from the outer effect, with a lot of sitting but always feel as they have some private sphere for their talks.
Don't let the small exterior fool you, this restaurant is like a Tardis inside. With various levels and plenty of tables, there's something for everyone on the menu. We tried the vegetarian breakfast, scrambled eggs with bacon, and cheese on toast, and all agreed that the food was excellent, well-presented, and super tasty. The cheese on toast was especially impressive, with loads of melted cheese on two slices of brown bread. The customer service was also top-notch, as I was given little scissors to open the brown sauce sachets without even having to ask.
Took my mum for afternoon tea, she loved it. Mum has very simple tastes and when booking I requested no sauces or chutneys on the sandwiches and a plain scone no currants or raisins, all were made as requested they even made two plain scones that morning while making fruit scones. Will definitely return. Thank you to the wonderful staff that made it a lovely afternoon.
First visit for Afternoon Tea expect this to be the first of many. Soup delicious), various sandwiches all very tasty) Cheesecake superb), Cream Scone yummy), various cakes all very moorish) and super pot of tea. Fabulous food and great service from very attentive friendly staff. Incredible value for the money
After I had a nice lunch in the caffe last week, I ordered that afternoon tea is delivered today for my tante and me. it was beautiful! the sandwiches were delicious with a large selection of cakes to finish with. it's enough for us to eat tomorrow afternoon. a recommend
