There’s an all-day grazing menu divided into ‘egg’ items, dips and olives, proteins, other dishes, salad bowls, things to share and cuca tins. The range of dishes is huge, (enough to suit every budget and appetite), mostly Mediterranean-influenced fare, very well sourced unfussy food. Classic but different, too, which we like, with dishes we’d come back to enjoy again...when singer Matt Armitage starts the Sunday Sesh at 2pm, we enter chill out zone – bluesy and relaxed. Couples arrive for an afternoon drink and nibbles, someone sets up their iPad to read a book, others are doing the Allpress coffee chat thing out the front, and by now we’re looking for a couch for a nap! A rustic yet chic Australian style café is how I would describe The Yard. With open air indoor seating as well as an Alfresco area out the back, this café provides the perfect setting to catch up with friends and family over a perfectly poached egg. Actually, all their breakfast options are pretty awesome and also served at lunchtime – which makes the Ninja prettyyyyy happy! Enough about breakfast…I almost forgot to mention (in my opinion) their pièce de résistance, the tacos! Oh and don’t forget to grab yourself an Allpress coffee to satisfy that caffeine craving.
Amazing food, friendly smily staff, great location with the best enviroment for families, kids, big groups due to the size and long tables outdoors not to mention it is pet friendly! Fair price for delicious and decent servings! Best coffee in the area no doubt! Long happy hour drinks with most beers, spirits and wines for just $5, perfect for functions, events and big grouos gatherings. Worth checking it out for sure, we definitely coming back heaps, been our local since we moved to the area.
I absolutely love The Yard! They always serve delicious food and really great coffee. The tacos are particularly amazing and have become a bit of a new obsession for me. I often bring clients here for meetings as well as enjoy coming here with family and friends. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and I have never had anything but a fantastic experience here. It's definitely one of my favorite spots on the Coast.

Love the vibes here, especially during the morning coffee rush : it's spacious but busy at the same time. Menu is simple and healthy with some unique dishes, food are well cooked and I love how everything is served, kind of rustic yet beautiful. Shakshuka is delicious, my first time having it! The outdoor area is great for family with a small playground for kids.
Backyard Cafe is located at Nobbys on the Gold coast, food was pretty good but for 2 people cost us $60 for 2 coffees and breakfast/ Brunch, I had the big breakfast and my wife had the smah avo add mushroomd, service had a wait time of 30mins for food. The place is a bit run down with the tables being a bit of a hazard and need to be replace. Pets are welcome.
I discovered this wonderful restaurant while I was staying at Mermaid Beach. They offer four different seating areas: kerbside, front room, back room, and courtyard. The best spot to sit depends on the time of day. The staff here is attentive and friendly, and they serve good coffee. They have two French rosé options on their wine list.
The coffee is great, the menu is interesting, and the service is super friendly and attentive. We love the kids playground in the back. We have come for breakfast, lunch, and coffee multiple times, so it must be pretty good because we always show our support with our repeat visits.

Fresh, good quality food cooked with high skill. Beautifully put together menu with friendly and attentive wait staff. Gorgeous and clean decor. One of the best in the Gold Coast by far!
A great breakfast reasonably priced, great service and ambience. Highly recommend the granola and coffee. I can't wait to come back to try their lunch menu.
