The Shanty - Réservation de table

Have eaten dinner here several times. First time eating brunch. Good food as usual, but the homefries were very un inspired. For a place that prides itself on unique pairings and excellent ingredients, these potatoes were right out of the Sysco 50lb bag of homefries category. Eggs Bennie came with them, breakfast burger came with them meh. One expects more from a restaurant with such a great track record elsewhere on the menu.

This was my first dining experience at The Shanty. I met my dining companion for brunch. I ordered Eggs Benedict with spinach and tomato. My dish was cold. My home fries were unseasoned. My dining companion's Breakfast Burger was also cold. She felt that her home fries were undercooked and asked for them to be cooked longer. Overall, we didn't appreciate being served cold food. We will not be returning for brunch.

Everything was fine. my Flat iron Steak was cooked perfectly, but I could have done with less cheesy potatoes, veggies were nice and crisp. Our only disappointment were the scallops. They were creamy and seared perfectly, the presentation was good and the chutney beet was delicious... the problem? only three scallops for $18. so, to share this appetizer we each got one and a half scallops. Disappointing.

We sat in the very rear to the left of the fireplace. Our seats were very hard and cold. We are guests in our eighties and really need more comfortable seats. Is the any way when making a reservation to avoid this spot ?? We have been to the Shanty many times and never were otherwise disappointed. Réservez une table maintenant

I ordered the fish and chips. Looked awesome. However the fish was undercooked and the batter surrounding the fish was raw. I never send food back. But my date insisted on speaking up on my behalf. The waitress was very apologetic and removed it from the bill.

We love coming to the Shanty. It’s hard to describe whether it’s a gastro-pub or a fun casual dining spot with an eclectic menu. But the food is always very good, great drinks and wonderful service. Our meals were great, served on time and for a good price.

We loved mostly everything! We got the yam fries which were excellent. I got the lobster roll which was ok but not the best. We also got the breakfast burrito which he loved and we shared the French toast which was delicious! Definitely want to go back!

We really enjoyed our breakfast and can't wait to return. The service was excellent, and the staff worked well together. Everyone was very friendly. Réservez une table maintenant
