I went to Sherwood Restaurant on Sunday, January 8th, 2023. It was a party of 15. The host who invited us, asked for a private room. Upon arrival, there were two tables set up with the general public. The chairs were jammed in and no one could move in or out without knocking down other chairs and disturbing people who were sitting down. The food was below average. Nothing was hot. The scrambled eggs were in a small bowl and cold. They had roast beef and ham also. No potatoes to go with them. The selection was not good. The cost was 22.99. There were no gloves at the buffet for safety of spreading COVD. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT EAT HERE.
I regret to say that the breakfast quality has significantly declined. This used to be our go-to place for breakfast. It’s been a few years since our last visit, and during that time, we experienced cold eggs and stale, cold home fries. Today, we decided to give it another try, hoping things might have improved—but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The eggs were once again cold, the home fries still tasted stale and cold, and my son's pancake felt as if it had just come out of the fridge. Unfortunately, I’m afraid we won’t be returning.
We visited with our car club and had nearly 20 people in our group. We had made reservations, and our tables were already set up for us upon arrival. The buffet was outstanding, and even though the place was crowded, they kept everything well-stocked. After we finished our meal, there was no rush to push us out the door. We will definitely be returning!
I visited this restaurant for a Mother's Day dinner buffet. While the buffet was smaller, it was quite decent. They did run out of some desserts, but we left before we could see if they refilled them. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. It was a bit pricey for the size of the buffet, but overall, it was still a good experience.

We had breakfast on their temporary patio while returning from Paris. The eggs and other dishes were well cooked and nicely presented. Although the service was a bit slow, it was efficient. Maybe they underestimated how many people would want to take their dads out for breakfast that day? We would definitely eat there again.
The restaurant could benefit from some renovations, as it has an older ambiance, but it is consistently clean and well-maintained. The restrooms are also very clean and well-kept. The food is quite good, and the waitstaff are attentive and cheerful. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.
This is hands down the best buffet I've ever experienced in my life. The beef was succulent, and the pasta was delightful. The mashed and baked potatoes were fantastic, and the chicken was excellent. The lightly breaded yellow perch was absolutely to die for. I can't recommend it highly enough!
I am very disappointed with this restaurant. Nothing is fresh. The food doesn't taste fresh. Their fries taste like rubber. Most of what we ordered is frozen, then thawed out. Even the lemons are cold that the juice is missing. Some people are ok with this, but I'm not.

The Sherwood is an old standard in Brantford. Great staff who provide happy service combined with delicious food make it comfortable place to dine. There 's nothing fancy but if you fancy good food in a nice community atmosphere it will not disappoint.
We have visited Brantford about twice a month and have eaten here several time. The interior is nothing fancy but the food is reasonable and good. Service is good and friendly. Specials for lunch.
