After finishing a long walk from Shorne via the Darnley trail with our dog, we stopped by the Ship Inn. The staff was friendly and the food was decent. They stop serving food at 5pm. I ordered the beef and ale pie, while Marisa had the scampi and chips.
Nice comfortable pub. Good menu. We had the senior menu which is reduced portion sizes. £6.99 for two courses. More than enough for lunchtime. 2 lattes 1 tea £20.75. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Disappointed that we missed Sunday service....at 8pm food we had day before was spot on except pastry on pie was really thick and too hard for me. Will definitely be back next year Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
