it was my brother's birthday that he spent the night with my dad, so he wanted somewhere else to go for a dinner that the shires fit the bill. we booked a table on the phone. there is a good parking space. at the arrival we were shown on our table in the restaurant, there were also a few others there, but soon filled but not too much, there is full table service that was good. I sat here for Sunday. combats to get a parking lot, as it is already the best part of the cars in the parking lot. the dinning area was far larger than I expected and almost everyone was full on pm. we waited with a booking to sit for about minutes. drinks were ordered and served within minutes later. food was ordered, had to wait about minutes until it is delivered, but that was expected. the eating was excellent and plentiful in what I thought we had given someone else extra sweet. We held our Christmas party at The Shires yesterday and it was fantastic. The food, staff, and venue were all excellent and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We had a wonderful time and want to thank everyone at The Shires. We will definitely be returning. Merry Christmas from the Cosby Friday Walkers (40 of us).
