A friend and I ordered food one evening about a month ago and it didn't arrive, resulting in us missed the start of a show at the Queens Hall. The staff were very apologetic. I went back and ordered food on another occasion (giving them the beneft of the doubt) and again the food did not arrive. Lots of bar staff and waiting staff there but seemingly no staff member able to process an order correctly. Very Poor show. If you are hungey think twice about booking dinner here.
Great spot for a casual dinner and drink! Vast selection of draught beers and cocktails. Food was delicious! Atmosphere is great. Most importantly, the too ladies (ginger hair and dark hair who served us (and whole place due to staff shortage a I guess tonight are an absolute credit to this place! Attentive, always smiling, funny and very hardworking! Hospitality proffesionals! Thank you for a great evening from four English guys in corner table :
Spent the past couple of years revisiting this haunt of my rambunctious yoof. The food is OK (minor grumble:cremated overly safe burgers) but the real gold in this establishment are the staff and a fine selection of beers, whiskies and cocktails. You always feel good after a trip to the Southern mainly because the welcome and staff are lovely people who really really try to put a smile on your face. THANK YOU AND STAY HAPPY.
Ate here on 27th Feb. Had been once before and enjoyed the food and this second time was just as good! Had a bbq chicken burger...the chicken was cooked amazingly, nice dressed salad and really good sweet potato fries. Not standard pub food, this is way better! The cocktails were delicious and looked great with lovely garnishes. Kaitlyn was really helpful with the booking and during our visit. Thanks for a great dinner! Réservez une table maintenant
Popped in to kill some time whilst my laptop was being worked on close by and thought id grab lunch. The food was delicious and the service good. A good selection of food drink. I dont feel it fair to comment on atmosphere as Thursday afternoon was definitely not peak time and the restaurant was pretty empty but it did seem as though itd have a good atmosphere
We happened upon this establishment after our first option to eat was fully reserved we are glad we did! The waitress was nice and attentive. The food was well made, tasty and timely. We ordered starters and vegetarian and fish main courses. Moreover, the drink selections will make any alcoholic skip their AA class;
Following EISM. Reservation made.Waited over 90 mins for main course. Kept being told meal is being plated. Customers arriving after us being served first. Kept asking. Was given a bottle of tap water to keep us quiet Very disappointed. Photo of tap water Would be lovely to show food but still waiting.
Awesome find my amazing Wife and I looked for a pub lunch after seeing Dunedin Consort at Queens Hall. Found this place. Doggie friendly. Loads of Beers that I like. Food including death by Chilli and not super expensive. Totally dig this place. Hanover Tap you should be like this Réservez une table maintenant
