Had an awful experience here, one of the servers shut a window on my partners finger badly damaging it and instead of apologizing and offering some compensation it was obvious him and the restaurant were very scared to take any responsibility and avoided us for the rest of the night. It took an hour to receive our drinks and every time we tried to Get a waiters attention they walked the other way, it was extremely rude. On top of everything when we asked to speak with the manager after having enough, he blamed my partner for what happened (trying to help the waiter who was struggling to open the window) instead of saying sorry for this horrible night. We have visited The Spaniards Inn multiple times over last few years and we were coming back because we quite liked it. Unfortunately, our recent visit was probably the most disappointing. I ordered chicken Milanese and got a very overfried piece of meat, and heavily seasoned with salt on top of that, and it was accompanied by chips that were salty as hell, too. I struggled with the salty aftertaste for the whole afternoon : My wife's fish was better, but also quite overseasoned. It's a charming place, and we remember food being better before, but perhaps it was just not our lucky day this time...
We had a great table tucked away. Lovely cocktails and very polite waiter. Best burger I’ve had in ages and would definitely order again. Have already told friends about my very positive experience and intend to come back very soon.. especially as it’s my local. Only downside was a very loud couple sat next to us were very annoying.. but that’s not the pub’s fault.. goes with the territory!!
Enjoyed the pie for lunch, my partner had the fish and chips which was a little greasy. Seated indoors upstairs facing the garden. The view was nice although it was quite warm that day and the windows don’t fully open (I assume for safety reasons).

Gone really downhill recently. Service, food and parking. Used to be a great pub, now just turned into a money among machine. Having a passive aggressive General Manager in Tomas probably does not help.

Excellent food and drinks, dog friendly pub and great staff! Best pub in Hampstead we will be back again!
