I was pretty disappointed in the whole experience. Back before covid they used to serve dinners at night with a meat, potatoes and vegetable. Now it's just bar food. The tenderloin was ok but not as good as it used to be. And to top it all off the owners had recently discontinued most of the side dishes, one of which was tater tots. Who takes tater tots off the menu? People love tater tots! And it was also pretty loud in there. I won't be back.

Place is closing so they can tear it down and build a housing projectsWhatever happened to the Historical Society this place has been a Springfield Illinois Landmark for 100 years.... another piece of history soon to be a parking
Met up with a friend for lunch, I hadn't been to Sportsman's in many years. Busy at lunchtime but fast, friendly service. Good drink prices and a fabulous salad with grilled pork tenderloin on it, highly recommend Réservez une table maintenant
Catfish was very good. Even the half size portions where very generous. Clean inside recently renovated. Service was great.
Food and service was great. We frequent the place quite a bit. Just gets extremely loud sometimes when they are real busy.
The lunch menu is quite good and prices are reasonable. However, it's not really a suitable place for children.
