The Staiths Cafe - Réservation de table

This is definitely my favourite cafe in Gateshead and perhaps even my favourite informal dining in the North East. Wonderful location and excellent coffee. I have now enjoyed both breakfasts and lunches here and it does not disappoint. Great bistro style cafe on the banks of the Tyne. Excellent location with an excellent no fuss cafe serving varied food and decent coffee. Prices are around average for this type of cafe. I rated this high when I first visited 2 years ago and it is good to see that it has weathered the pandemic and is still delivering a good cafe experience.

This is a brilliant cafe for hoomans and dogos. The sandwhichs are massive but so tasty. The cakes are really sweet but really good. They welcome all furry friends The staff are dead canny and I really mean that. I feel like ive known them for years. They can keep up with busy times Great opening times too- open till 6pm! Wondeful friendly refreshing atmosphere I like the shop and the artwork around, i need to buy some of the items there- espicslly the north east merch.

Sadly dog owners spoil our enjoyment by allowing their dogs onto the seats and hence their faces at table height, yuck. The food was great, decent price and the staff really nice but I don't own a dog and have a severe pet allergy so dislike dogs being allowed in an eating environment, shame they can't keep the animals outside.

What a gem! Everything about this place felt right atmosphere, staff, food and the view. Stumbled on it by chance whilst checking out the staithes. Its a bit if a trek from Cumbria but we’ll be back. Loved the little touches like free coffees for those less fortunate or in need of cheering up. Réservez une table maintenant

It's a lovely oasis on the banks of the Tyne, with great food although when busy the service does suffer a bit, it's generally worth the wait. If you do want to go here during your lunch hour, it might be worth phoning your order in advance.

Have only ever had breakfast and coffee here, but can thoroughly recommend. Service is great, staff are friendly, tasty coffee and the porridge (with superfood topping) is AMAZING!!

Great friendly cafe on the river front. Lobley warming dog friendly cafe with great quality food and fast service even when during a busy period.
