We (5) traveled up from Essex to take in the Lincoln Blues Festival, whilst there, we were lucky enough to come across this gem. Great traditional pub, super beer and food.. darts to!! But best of all we’re the bar staff…they gave us great service and recommendations of places to go to and avoid, but best information, was to return after 9.00pm, to see ‘Andy’ singing and performing. Which we duly did after our tour around. What a night we had!! The man could sing anything from soul, to reggae to rock and best of all, everyone was singing and dancing together to the very end.. just a good time.. Thanks to Amy’s mum btw
I must say that this pub is fantastic - I love coming here for a drink. The atmosphere and staff are wonderful, making everyone feel welcome. However, during my visit on Sunday, May 7th, a large group of guys came in and disrupted the atmosphere, showing disrespect towards the pub. The owner and manager did the right thing by asking them to leave, as it is important to show respect to the staff and not allow a group of troublemakers to ruin the afternoon. I would give this pub a 100% recommendation for a drink if you are ever in Lincoln. All the staff here are fantastic and very welcoming.
We were lucky to have our friend Liz take us to the pub where she used to go back in the day. It's a proper old-style traditional pub where you can have a conversation without loud music, and there are small screens for watching sports without being overwhelmed by them. But the best part was the people! The locals were friendly and great to chat with. We had an amazing time with John, the landlord, who was very helpful with recommendations. John's father was from the north east like us, so we got along really well. He had a great sense of humor and warmth. We will definitely be back!
We have come here the last couple of weeks to this friendly pub for a drink, but tonight my son was asked for ID which he does not have on him as a non driver. The bar lady would not serve him alcohol as she said he looks under 25. My soon be 30 year old son has a beard down to his chest which I bet most 17 years old would be envious off, but still not looking mature enough to be served!!! Needless to say unfortunately, we wont be returning.

Used to be a good old style pub.Tonight 15 of us got asked to leave for being loud .Nobody else in the pub.Took at least £300 and never even had the decency to talk to us .Been a customer of 46 years but unfortunately got a landlady with no class or manners.AVOID if you want to have fun
Great pub, landlord and landlady made us all feel very welcome along with the staff. A coach load of us turned up and they all made us feel very welcome we spent most of the day/night in there. It was fabulous we all had a great time, thank you.
Absolutely fantastic pub, all the staff are so welcoming and friendly. There is always a great atmosphere and they have great live music nights also. Best pub in Lincoln!
The owners are always fantastic. Truly my favorite pub in Lincoln. It is a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. I always feel at home there.
