Excellent old pub. Beautiful interior with lots of lovely traditional features. Great atmosphere! Staff were friendly and very efficient. It was very busy too! They had run out of a few things but it was late on a Sunday afternoon so not surprising, they offered a great alternative. Food was fantastic! The only slight negative was, there wasn’t much parking with it being so busy but they have two carparks and the road outside was quite quiet. We will definitely be going back! The best meal and experience we’ve had in a pub in years. Ticked all the boxes!
My 1st visit since December last year when the food was average but decided to give it another try as was now under new management. Same friendly helpful staff as last year. Had the beer battered cod and chips portions half the size as previously but similar price as last year. chips had been bought in frozen and not made on the premises cod was grey in colour, not white and flaky, probably not cod and possibly pre- frozen I will not be going back
I have seen negative reviews from yeras past. That is not my experience at all. I have only dropped in for a drink or morning coffee afew times. The Sun Inn is one of the friendliest and cosiest pubs you could hope to find. There are open log fires with bags of history to the place. The staff are wonderful, with nothing too much trouble.
We visited this place by arrangement for a large party on Easter Sunday and it was so eggsiting. The food was good but massive and the staff were helpful and coped extremely well for a large party. It seems a very popular place for both visitors and locals and has a lot of character Réservez une table maintenant
