We made a reservation for a party of 20 people at this restaurant and from the moment we arrived, everything was very professional. There was a nice welcome message for our group on the wall, and we started with drinks in the bar while waiting for everyone to arrive. Once we were seated, the service was excellent and we never had to wait or leave our seats. The food was perfect as well, it came out quickly, was well presented, and everyone's silence while eating was a good indication that they were enjoying their meals. Overall, it was a flawless experience with excellent staff. Special thanks to Will Rui for his service and Sam Ryan for the delicious food.
We went for Christmas Lunch, which promised to be amazing! (From the menu at least). The food in the most part was good. Service was poor, very slow an inexperienced staff, we guess that is due to lack of staff wanting to work on Christmas day. We paid £100 per head for the meal, there were four of us. When we came to pay the bill we were slapped with a £40 service charge! This was never mentioned previously and at least was expected and at worst greedy. We always tip for good food and service, but this was expected. It has left a very sour taste for all of us. I emailed them, but never received any response. We will certainly not visit again.
The restaurant was lovely and in a beautiful setting, and the staff were great. However the wild mushroom, spinach and goats cheese raviolo was very disappointing. It was 2 large flat pasta shapes (maybe this is what raviolo means rather than ravioli, but unless you’re Italian I don’t think you’d know that) with the smallest amount of filling in the middle. Having just looked up the menu to check the spelling I see it was supposed to come with beetroot crisps which it didn’t. The fish and chips at the same price was much better value.
Have been using this place for 9 years, and never had a bad pint. Staff are always very friendly and accommodating. A lovely place to dine with exceptional food and equally lovely to come for just a drink. It's dog friendly and has an amazing garden for the brighter days with what I can only describe as a view the gods should be proud of over the fields. What more could anyone ask for....... Hats off to all the staff and management that keep the place as good as it is. Réservez une table maintenant
Always a lovely time we had yet another lovely meal here. Service is always 5* with fast and attentive staff that are more than accommodating. I have been here whilst passing through for a meal with my other half and also taking my parents and their dog for a pint. Would recommend to anyone in the area.
The Sunday lunch experience was subpar. The roast potatoes were extremely hard, and the pork belly was nearly impossible to cut. I was dissatisfied with the fact that there was an additional charge of 4.50 for extras like stuffing or cauliflower cheese. The desserts were small and overpriced.
I visited this restaurant recently and will definitely be returning! The slow-roasted pork belly was delicious, as was the bacon and cheese burger that my partner ordered. The service was prompt, and the staff created a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I'm looking forward to our next visit!
This is our third visit in 4 months and every time it's been absolutely brilliant! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Just got back tonight from another amazing meal and great service from Amelia!! Definitely compliments to the chefs! Réservez une table maintenant
