I had planned a walking trip that ended in Malham and was looking for a place to eat. Before my trip, I checked on Just Eat and saw that Taj offered delivery to the hostel where I was staying. After walking 18 miles that day, I was looking forward to my meal from Taj. I confirmed the delivery option on Just Eat and placed an order for about £25. However, my order was soon cancelled. When I called Taj, they informed me that they didn't want to deliver to my address, as it was 10 miles each way. I was left feeling hungry and disappointed by Taj, as they advertised a service they had no intention of providing. It was a disappointing end to a long day of hiking.
We come here often and let me tell you now, these are the best curries. We drive to collect so we can nip into Tesco’s for some pop. Delicious, just as described on the menu, temperature is peak eating temperature not too hot that you’d burn your mouth but nowhere near the temp to reheat. If I could afford it, I’d come here everyday for my dinner because it’s so delicious. Gentlemen in The Taj are very polite and courteous it smell amazing in there too. Never a dull moment when The Taj’s food is around. My boyfriend and I recommend The Taj to everyone!
I ordered a small side dish and a couple of chapatis to pick up from here I work evenings and had snacked at work but fancied a small treat meal when I got in. I ordered online, but it was rejected, so I popped down the road to order in person. Two members of staff sitting around on their phones looking bored; they barely looked at me but told me you can only order a side with a main. Whatever, it’s their business, but their attitudes were poor and with business skills like that I can’t imagine they’ll be around for much longer.
Avoid this restaurant at all costs! I ordered a takeaway, paid for it, and then they canceled my order. They're supposed to be open until 11 PM, but I placed my order at 10:40 PM. When I called to inquire, the man on the phone was extremely rude, insisting they were closed. Despite this, I received a message saying my delivery would arrive at 11:30 PM. I will never dine at this restaurant again. Réservez une table maintenant
First time we have tried this restaurant and we did it by having a takeaway with delivery, we were not disappointed, the food arrived a little later than advertised, but that was only minor. We had ordered two different dishes and they didn't disappoint both were tasty and full of flavour, my only regret was forgetting to order a garlic naan. Next time we are up here we will be trying them again
We ordered a set meal for 4 on our way home after a day at York Races. It was absolutely fantastic, with delicious and varied dishes. The Taj restaurant forgot to include the rice, but the naans were great and the poppadoms were crispy. Overall, the portion sizes were just right.
