The Talk House - Réservation de table

I booked the Talkhouse for an evening meal after a busy day at work. Arrived at seven to find toddlers crawling along the floor, sitting at the bar and running around the pub. They were all coughing as well which was pretty off putting. There...were about 12 toddlers. The problem is that this completely changes the experience that you expect from cosy adult meal to an hour in the middle of a kindergarten. The management should have controlled the situation and asked the parents to keep their children in one area and not be in the bar (and certainly not on the bar). We popped in to the Talkhouse for a quick drink and lunch and were so impressed with how cosy, friendly and welcoming it was, with exceptional food and a good range of drinks. And above all the food was amazing (even though we only had...burgers), considering the menu was not vast what we had was all home made and freshly cooked with amazing chips. The chef has his own special touch on the menu with some amazing flavours on his burgers, and even offers duck chips' which are legendary. We will certainly be back and highly recommend The Talkhouse, they even have accommodation in a lovely location.

We were fairly new to this area so booked before lunch. A warm welcome from the waitress and we sat in the garden as the weather was so nice. Menu looked good and the lovely waitress walked through some of the options...at ours. My husband and I eat a lot and for the past 3 months we have been traveling, My husband said his cod cab meal was the best meal he has had in all time. We will definitely be back and maybe with an overnight stay. The waitress was a delight and well done to the chefs!

The Talkhouse is a great local village pub that is both child friendly and has a really relaxed atmosphere that is led by a good management team. The burgers are great and the duck chips are a firm family favourite. Kids have always been well...behaved in all of our experiences there so cannot comment on the previous post. The Sunday roast of all Sunday roasts absolutely amazing roast beef. Chicken pork belly and lamb also picked by the family nothing left on the plates at the end except chicken bones. Staff very friendly great service and atmosphere. Both my parents were very impressed...with there meals who are hard to please at times.

the talkhouse is a great place pub that is both child-friendly and has a very relaxed atmosphere led by a good management team. the burgers are great and the entenchips are a family lover. children have always been well-behaved in all our experiences there, so you cannot comment on the previous contribution.

We enjoyed a special birthday dinner at The Talkhouse yesterday. The food was amazing and we experienced super friendly and efficient service. We have visited this venue a few times but not for quite some time, we would all highly recommend it. Thank you to the team at The Talkhouse.

We stayed for three nights. The cabins are small but clean and well equipped. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The food was very nice. A short menu. Overall a very pleasant stay although a little expensive. We would certainly stay again. Réservez une table maintenant

Took a group for lunch and it was excellent. Helpful, friendly staff, great service and all the meals were excellent. The crispy duck salad was the best I have ever had. Can’t wait to go again.

Great Sunday roast, great staff and great atmosphere. A quiet country pub off the main routes worth the visit.
