The Tea Cottage At Bolton Abbey

We had a pleasant surprise on our walk to Bolton Abbey today as we noticed the Tea Cottage has new owners and has had a lovely refurbishment. We had stopped going there over the last six months as we felt the previous owners had let it slip and it had gone downhill. This is definitely not the case now. It is very welcoming, the staff are friendly and enthusiastic, the tempting cakes are, freshly baked. (the scones are to die for) and there is a varied lunch menu. Prices are reasonable and the coffee is good too . Everywhere is clean and fresh and the lovely open fire is an added bonus on a cold , frosty day. Of course the seating outside has the best views on the estate but it was lovely to sit in on a cold day. We will definitely be visiting again soon. I wish the new owners the best of luck in their new venture.

What a beautiful place this is. Such a wonderful warm welcome from the team at Tea Cottage! The food was excellent, the views were stunning and the staff there have created such a cosy vibe to enjoy it all in!! Thank you so much. Thank you too for bringing Winston (my dog) his own bowl of water!

What a fabulous find! Such a lovely cafe with really friendly staff and great service. The food was great and the coffee was awesome. You would be hard pushed to find better!

Really friendly little place with a short but perfectly adequate lunch menu, served well. A really pleasant lunch and the view from the garden is awesome

Lovely setting lovely food lovely people! We stopped for lunch on the first day of our dales way walk. Was amazing and what a view of the priory
