The Telegraph Inn - Réservation de table

We came in for the Monday pie night that we saw on Facebook.. or if you prefer… just pie night as it’s the standard menu. We apparently had the chicken and mushroom pie which is simply just mushroom as there was genuinely no chicken in the pie. We also had the steak and ale pie. Which had a grand total of 4 pieces of steak the size of a thumb nail in it. It was actually quite comical playing the “looking for meat in the pie” game. Such a shame as we have been looking for a place that does decent, home style pub food. On the plus side The Telegraph looks great, serves a good selection of drinks and is in a nice location.

During a short break in Moulton, we visited The Telegraph and were greeted by Steven at the bar. He quickly served us drinks and gave us menus. Both my wife and I ordered the Wagyu Burger and were extremely satisfied with it. Despite being busy running the bar and taking orders on his own, Steven made sure we were well taken care of. We appreciate his hard work and politeness. Overall, it was a pleasant experience at this charming pub/restaurant.

We had lunch last Sunday which was average to say the least. Not a great choice as it was either Beef or Pork. The beef was very fatty and poor quality. The veg was average. The roast potatoes were very poor. The dishes were served on cold plates which meant that the food cooled down rapidly while you were eating it. The staff were very good.

All 4 off us tried the Katsu curry and it was lovely! The telegraph burger was nice with Chunky chips. The chicken skewers scored top marks! The kids were not so keen on their burgers but the chicken stripes went down well. The kids all eat their icecream We would definitely go again. Réservez une table maintenant

Great food. Fantastic host. He came and checked that we were happy more than once. Only downside was the price of the House wine. £22. Will return, but maybe beer next time!

Had a lovely evening yesterday, Paolo is a lovely host who even suprised us with some samples of his wonderful food, as locals we will be going there a lot more.

Food absolutely delicious and beautifully cooked. Not cheap but not expensive either for the quality. My only complaint was that the room wasn’t very warm.

Frequently stop for a drink and catch up, always friendly and a warm welcome. Haven't eaten there but would, food looks good. Réservez une table maintenant

Lovely meal, we all commented how tasty our meals were, and how beautifully presented it was. We will dine there again.

Wow. They now do breakfast. Really really good food, and coffee to die for!! Lovely refurb so a great atmosphere too.
