I’m sorry to write a bad review, but I would strongly recommend that Terrace Tea Rooms change their offering for food. I had a chicken and sweet chilli wrap. It came with cheap oven chips, badly wrapped, chicken goujons, and had been put in a panini press seemingly with something that had once resembled lettuce and had been covered in sweet chilli sauce. The whole meal was actually inedible, and I did leave it, and I was absolutely ravenous. People don’t want that kind of food anymore. The lettuce should have been fresh and added to the wrap after the children had been cooked. The sweet chilli sauce should have been a drizzle, and cold, and it didn’t need to go in a panini press. Lettuce should never, ever be hot! We also ordered breakfasts. Toast you have to pay extra for, which to be fair, when you’re paying 9-12 pounds for low quality food, I’d have expected that toast could have been included. The lady on paying did ask me if everything was ok whilst taking a cursory glance to the table. To avoid confrontation I did say yes and paid, I perhaps should have mentioned it. I hope this cafe moves with the times, and expectations that people have of eating out these days. Less food, local high quality ingredients and healthier options. It’s in a lovely location, but I was right in being concerned about empty tables at lunchtime.

What can I say I called with my mom and two dancing to eat a bite when shopping. I decided to select the light-shot menu, we also ordered a few pages. what was delivered was not a light bite, my ploughmans had lunch so much I could seriously consider a "doggie bag". the sides of the chips were massive and easily fed us all. I was so full that I couldn't even think about cake, that never happens that I love my cake without going to cake is traumatic. the thought that met me most, although every article was served on white plates, not a wooden board or crooked in is just teller, nice simple clean, hygienic plates. perfect, I will try the cake again.
