Arrived just after 5pm on a Wednesday evening, place was very quiet. We needed a meal before our return home after a day in Chester and this bar is very convenient for the station. Special deal of the day proved to be very nice and good value. Katsu Curry with rice and peas was delicious, just lacking a bit in the amount of sauce. Two meals along with a premier alcoholic drink for £20 was very good. Decided to have a dessert afterwards, sticky toffee pudding and the cookie apple pie were both quite pleasant but could have been much better if served hot instead of barely warm. While staying at a nearby hotel, I noticed this pub right as I exited the train station and decided to have dinner there. The pub is large and has plenty of seating, as well as numerous screens for watching sports. They offer a wide selection of drinks and have a diverse food menu with options for everyone. I ordered the sausage and mash, which was delicious. This was my first time dining out alone, but the staff made me feel very welcome and Conor at the bar was friendly and accommodating, making me feel comfortable. This pub is now my top choice whenever I visit Chester!
Had to write this review as was really impressed by a member of staff. We had come for a few drinks as a family four adults and two kids. We sat outside and started to enjoy our family getaway. A gentleman was on the phone and got very loud very quickly with his conversation. He got loud and the language used was awful. Especially around children and public. A member of staff decided enough was enough took his drink away and asked him to leave. Apologising to the customers. It took a lot to do what she did. Well done Amy. Well done.
Spent our Saturday there as a family of 4 and was served by a lovely, friendly member of staff Lucinda. Although the bar was busy, she acknowledged that we were there for a while and made sure we were next and happily showed us to our table. She made sure our table was clean and to let her know if we needed anything. Fantastic service from Lucinda, will be back again.

This pub is excellent with plenty of room and reasonably priced drinks (such as a pint of Guinness for £4.45). Although I didn't eat, I noticed several people enjoying their meals which looked appetizing. There are also plenty of TVs to watch sports if that's your preference.
Came in to watch the football Saturday morning. Very very busy with races and a few football fans. Service was excellent and breakfast was beyond amazing. Will be back next Saturday.
Family friend venue, welcoming atmosphere. Very accommodating. Quick, quality service. A range of food options for adult children menus. Would recommend.
This pub is large and spacious, with a nice outdoor area and TV screens. The staff are friendly and the parking lot is available for a fee.

Great selection of beers, good food, friendly staff would highly recommend a visit if you’re hoping off the train and have a spare hour.
Such a friendly pub! All the staff are so lovely and welcoming and would definitely recommend for the football!
