Lovely ambiance, in spite of 14 fun loving and slightly inebriated Australians fresh out of the Krazy Kangarru at an adjacent table adding to the staff's demands and volume! Best fondue we have had for many years, not overly kirsch soaked and accompanied by a huge basket of bread and plenty of pickled veggies and a side salad. Not to be missed (as this is the only establishment in St Anton serving the beer on draft) is the excellent pilsner beer. Not the cheapest place in town but on the basis of the quality of the fondue its worth it. Would recommend.
The Train is a busy place with the waiter being fast and efficient. They have all the tables under control. We did not wait long for our order of Raclette and Fondue Chinoise. There was tonnes of food for the 4 of us, but with...washing it down with the house wine we managed and were happily satisfied! The waiter suggested a nice Schnaps which rounded up the evening just perfectly. Great value for money and awesome atmosphere. Thanks.
What a wide selection of menu has been offered. Cheese fondue, raclette fondue, and Chinese beef fondue and beef Bourguignonne fondue. Really generous portions of food. The atmosphere is really warm and friendly. A huge car wheel delivered by French friends to our table. Also a massive... share of pimples. We had an amazing time and would definitely return.
Great tasting meat, cheese fondue and raclette. All three on offer. They push the great tasting chips (fries) just remember to push back for the good stuff--cheese and meat. They brought our meat but no oil to cook it in for a long time. We devoured several of the cheese fondues. Good meal just stay on top of the wait staff. Would happily return here. Want an absolutely fantastic fondue dinner in St Anton ? Go the "The Train Fondue" restaurant.My partner and I had the cheese fondue with pickles and salad and enjoyed it so much we just had to "clean the plate" . The portions were very generous and the cheese was "to die for".We walked in and rolled out ... full up with lovely cheese fondue.
