Very welcoming staff, warm, clean and cosy atmosphere is a perfect combination for a nice cheeky beverage or 2 by the log burner. The food is delicious and cooked by people who clearly know what they 're doing. It 's refreshing to see a place that changes their 3 course, reasonably priced menu every month, which coincides with what is in season and what is available locally helping the local economy. Love this little place. Excellent food and a really pleasant place for a drink. Visually, it's a listed building in a small rural village in the North East of England, so it's a great destination, it's kept clean and tidy and decorated in a way that's in keeping with the aesthetic expected of the place. I enjoy popping in for a pint of Hawkstone and a sit by the log burner in the colder months. The outdoor seating options are great for summer. The Tuns is a quaint little pub in Sadberge. Food was presented nicely and quickly. Although we ate outside which was quite a way from the kitchen the food was still hot as the staff were quick to get it to the table. We had a Sunday lunch which was delicious and tasty. Staff were friendly and helpful, one thing that makes me leave a good review is when staff remember the drinks that were ordered when we first arrived and they were quick to refill our glasses. Definitely will return to enjoy another meal and drinks.
We had a fantastic night celebrating a family member's special birthday at this restaurant. The location, atmosphere, and food were all amazing, and the service was excellent. Team Tuns provided us with VIP treatment, allowing us to decorate the tables and party all night long. Everyone has been raving about what a fabulous place it is, with delicious food and friendly staff. Thank you for giving us a night to remember.
