Book a table as you don’t want to be disappointed. The food is amazing for a local pub/restaurant the meals are presented like Michelin star restaurants, but for incredible prices and not not small portions either. All fresh quality meals. We all had different meals...and we all complimented them. The staff are fabulous quick to tend to your needs and very warm and welcoming. Katie is a credit to the team and she went out of her way to make us feel welcome. We will back
Came here one evening last week and safe to see we were very pleased. Food first of all was AMAZING!! Apparently there’s a new chef named Ness and wow she knows how to cook. Out waitress Katie tended to all our needs and made sure...we were well taken care of even going out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Brilliant staff and service will definitely be coming back soon. would recommend.
I had a fantastic night at the vane arms. It was a surprise for my birthday and the staff could not do enough to make it not only a surprise but a fantastic night too. Excellent private rooms away from the usual restaurant and the...food was fantastic also. I understand they helped massively to set everything up from the very beginning so for this i cannot thank them enough.
Had a meal here all out of were not nice. A pie with some sort of strange pastry awful. Belly pork was tuff and certainly not worth for the size of the tiny piece no bigger than less than half a belly...strip piece. Steak chewy and sauce like water no taste to it. Fish and chips was the only that was nice. will not be returning and would not recomend. Réservez une table maintenant
We visited one evening for a meal and found a good choice on the menu and very tasty. The steak pie was full of beef encased in well baked pastry. The fish cake was packed with fish in crispy breadcrumbs. To finish the rice pudding...was creamy with a caramelised sugar top. The staff are attentive and welcoming especially Katie who looked after us.
We visited on Sunday with our one year old son staff were so accommodating for us and did a smaller kids portion for our little one. The food we had was outstanding prawns and pork dinner. Couldn’t fault it at all- particular mention...to Maisy and Holly for being so attentive and entertaining and kind to our son
The last time (which was a few years ago) we went to this pub it was a little run down and didn't hold much attraction for us. We called in the recommendation of a friend and liked what we saw. Although we only had drinks...we enjoyed the place very much and will return to have something to eat.
Kate our waitress was amazing. Friendly and all round a good customer service experience. Food as always is a very high standard. Mothers comment was best fish and chips she has had for a long time Réservez une table maintenant

"Ordered good at 5pm. Told an hour for delivery. Checked why it hadn't arrived at 6.45 to be told our order hadn't gone through till. It would be cooked and sent straight out. It's now 7.40 and still no food."
