We came here, based on reading the other reviews. Unfortunately, they were all older, so we didn't know what we expected. There are definitely no vegan färgers and mash anymore. The vegan options were tender. I ordered a Potato jacket with beans and vegan cheese. It came with a tiny potato, the microwave and the skin was hard and crusty as it was cooked a long time ago. The beans came separately in a small bowl. The worst part was, the grated vegan cheese was cold and uncooked on the plate, so it did not even melt. The little side salad came dry. Not even a simple Vinaiigrette was drizzled up. Just terrifying. My husband had fish and chips and he was unhappy about the small amount of chips. Although they were small, he only got 8 of them. His part of the muddy peas was a mere artistic splendour on the plate. With a glass of wine and a hot chocolate we paid almost 30 pounds for it. Never again. Stay away.
I dive into this café when I work in Skegness as it has an accessible parking space and has a separate Veggie / Vegan menu. The Färger and Maische are delicious. Prices are okay and they have a lot of tea and coffee options and alternatives milk etc. On mutilple occasions visited, the employees are very hit and miss with their professionalism. 1 very flirtatily asked if he could sit with me while I was eating what made me very uncomfortable, another laughed in the back about the fact that I ordered vegan sausages as they did not know they were in the menu.
Lovely restaurant on the sea front at Winthorpe, with a great vegan menu. It is a little small, but they are continuing to expand (I have been told vegan cakes are on their way! as the menu has been well recieved. I had bangers and mash, and it was clear the sausages were home made, my Mum had the soya ragu and thoroughly enjoyed it!
I almost heard a year, but I remember finding more vegetarian and vegan options there than I expected for a place in the area. I asked the differences in the ingredients between her two veggie burgers and they gave me a happily informed and advised what was tastier. The food was good and I intend to visit again!
