I had a very enjoyable culinary experience at the restaurant. The braised pork starter was beautifully cooked and well presented. The venison and steak were technically well-prepared, but I didn't find them particularly exciting. While everything was executed properly and cooked to perfection, I wished the dishes had a bolder flavor or a greater sense of creativity, as they felt a bit subdued. to stay at skye! room with view of the garden was also beautiful and we have the beautiful sea view of the restaurant and salon to enjoy. the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. was that the room had a bath, but the shower also worked well. we ate both nights in the hotel and enjoyed our meals. good selection of whisky and gin at the hotel bar. the living room had a nice atmosphere with the fireplace. the laundry service worked well and was not as expensive as in some other hotels where we were. My wife and I dined at The View on our last night in Portree, and it certainly did not disappoint. We were seated at a wonderful table by the window, offering a stunning view of the harbor with the hills behind. The service was excellent, featuring very friendly and attentive staff. The food was delicious throughout the entire meal, from the appetizers (mussels and crispy skin) to the main courses (langoustine and venison) and dessert. We finished off our evening with a Lagavulin 16. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stylish meal in Portree. We would definitely return if we were in the area again!
I dined at this restaurant twice within four days, and I must say, the mussels, langostines, sea trout, and haddock were all outstanding. The highlight of the meal was definitely the chocolate fondant—it's not just a cake; it also comes with chocolate mousse, caramel, and ice cream, making it absolutely divine. The atmosphere and service are excellent and perfectly match the ambiance of the place. To top it all off, the view of Loch Portree is truly postcard-worthy!

beautiful view, great personal, exceptional customer service. the rooms are well furnished and the common rooms are attractive. a great place to tour from and back. the personal solved professional problems, gave great advice on tours and transport, and they were nice to deal with. the food was delicious and very well prepared, and the roses with its bar menu is only excellent with views of the harbour.
what a fabulous and special place to stay! the location is stunning, the rooms are luxurious and comfortable, the eating is delicious, and the staff could not have been better. we had to cancel a planned stay here in juni for kovid and they were so friendly during a stressful time. I am so glad that we travel a few months later and really appreciate the staff so helpful. that was worth it!
We had a wonderful stay here. The setting is beautiful quiet, peaceful, but also just 7 minutes slow walk to town for dinner. We dined in the hotel one night, and I would have happily eaten there every night! The rooms are well appointed, beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly and professional. Strongly recommend.
extremely good location with beautiful view over the bay of portree. despite limited menu choices, seafood is very fresh and portion is great, we had no place in the mag for desserts. I would recommend if they have 2-3 hours to dinner( service is not super fast, but is worth waiting!

I loved this place. bed was comfortable, large bed linen and kiss. the bar down had big people working and made really good drinks (best margarita I had in Scotland) that dessert: sticky toffee pudding with ice was top notch. I had no problem. it was a great place to stay.
