I ordered the Lamb Sirloin $29), which comes on a bed of scallion whipped potatoes and seasonal vegetables, topped with Dijon mustard. Flavor-wise this was delicious! Really enjoyed the sharp Dijon with the lamb! I felt parts of the lamb were too rare though, making it quite chewy. Otherwise it would've been a perfect dish! My partner ordered the Beef Tenderloin Schnitzel $30) after seeing a nearby table order it. It was so good!! I kept nibbling on his dinner! I really loved the spaetzle, it was chewy and flavorful. I still dream of the view seafood mac cheese. my friends and I visited a night out of the mainland and the view was one of the top spots that appeared in a Google search for evening options. After we have read all the brilliant reviews, we decided to give it a try and I am so glad that we have done it! our server was so beautiful and friendly. the ambiente is beautiful, I wish it was a bit warmer than the place we sat on the back of the restaurant was quite cool. we ordered the calamari and prawns gratin for appies and then shared the three entrees: seafood mac cheese, linguine capesante and seared halibut risotto. everything we cost was incredible! we were sad that we were no longer hungry...
This restaurant is the perfect spot for dinner. We requested for the dishes to be made without extra salt and they turned out to be excellent. The wine selection is quite impressive. However, there is a limitation in accommodating groups larger than 4 people. The service was top-notch, with a rating of 5 out of 5. The atmosphere was also pleasant, earning a 4 out of 5. Recommended dishes include the East Meets West Calamari and Lamb Sirloin. The price per person for dinner ranges from CA$60 to CA$70.
Salmon Oscar, prosciutto wrapped lingcod, seafood flambé, scallops, calamari, mussels and clams. Fantastic food and very friendly service. I was staying in the hotel attached to this establishment while working in Nanaimo and ate here three nights consecutively. 10/10 I would recommend this place. I will definitely return one day! sharon was our server and absolutely so friendly. she would be my good friend if I lived in nanaimo. eating was amazing! the portions are in the round two meal times. and the aromen, seafood are top quality and cost is fantastic for the great quality of the food. has from the cooks, the ambiente and the friendly servers.
our server shaina was amazing. the food was phenomenal. Drinks were good and the atmosphere was very sweet. the seafood comb was very full and the sauce is delicious :3 I was surprised how well the ricards (liqourice seasoned liqeur for the flambe) went with him everything. highly recommended. dress up, have fun!
Absolutely outstanding. I cant tell you in a few short words how amazing the food was at the View. The flambe is really cool, but every dish had flair and panache and flavor and ... yum! Friendly service, very reasonable prices and I know I'll be back! Update: try the Bavarian cream pie! It's outstanding!
Delicious dining experience. I ordered the Mahi Mahi and hubby ordered the Halibut. Both were exquisite and the staff was very friendly. Love the idea of tipping the kitchen with a beer jug which we did. Love the place will return for sure . Réservez une table maintenant
